Mexican side Atlante set up a semi-final meeting with Barcelona in the FIFA Club World Cup after crushing New Zealand's Auckland City 3-0 in Abu Dhabi on Saturday. Daniel Arreola fired Atlante in front after 36 minutes when a poor defensive clearance fell to him to send a low shot into the bottom corner. Christian Bermudez doubled the lead nine minutes past the hour mark after he rounded off a swift passing move. Lucas Silva put the icing on the cake in stoppage time with a low shot from inside the area. CONCACAF champions Atlante will face European and Spanish champions Barcelona on Wednesday for a place in the annual tournament's final. Auckland, who overcame UAE side Ahli Dubai in the opener, will play African champions Mazembe in the fifth-place playoff.
