Egypt should face no difficulty reaching the Nations Cup quarter-final after being handed a favorable draw, Egyptian FA board member Hazem Al-Hawari said on Friday. The Pharaohs will face Nigeria, Benin and Mozambique in Group C of the biennial tournament, which takes place in Angola from January 10 to 31. "I can say it's an easy group," Al-Hawari told Nile Sports following Friday's draw in Angola capital Luanda. "I think we will reach the knockout stage along with Nigeria. "Of course Egypt are better than Benin and Mozambique while Nigeria are not at their best, but they are likely to accompany us to the next round." Egypt last played Nigeria in a friendly game in 2002 that ended in a 1-1 draw. Their last competitive meeting was in the 1994 Nations Cup. The six-time African champions thrashed Benin 5-1 in a friendly game last year. They faced Mozambique, who will make their first Nations Cup appearance since 1998, just two times. Egypt overcame Mozambique 2-0 in the 1986 edition on home soil and repeated the same scoreline 12 years later in Burkina Faso.
