UAE businessman Sulaiman Al-Fahim, who holds a 10 percent share in Portsmouth, said he is trying to convince coach Paul Hart to sign Zamalek striker Amr Zaki. The Premier League club have been long-term admirers of Zaki, who spent last season on loan at Wigan Athletic. They reportedly saw a bid for the prolific marksman turned down by Zamalek in the close season. However, it is believed Pompey coach Hart is reluctant to bring Zaki to Fratton Park due to concerns over his attitude. The Egypt striker's spell with Wigan was marred by disciplinary problems. "It's not my decision, it is up to Paul Hart and (football director) Avram Grant but I would like to see Amr Zaki," Al-Fahim told The News on Thursday. "He loves Portsmouth. He calls me almost every week and he wants to be part of the Portsmouth team. "He is a player who could add value. The price we could get him for is also good." Zaki scored ten league goals for Wigan last season before falling out with then Latics' coach Steve Bruce. The 26-year-old, who suffered a dip in form, has yet to open his Zamalek account this season.
