Egypt eye vital win over Paraguay
Published in FilGoal on 28 - 09 - 2009

Egypt will be looking for a second successive U-20 World Cup win over Paraguay in order to secure a berth in the round of 16.
The young Pharaohs battered Trinidad and Tobago 4-1 in the competition's opening game, and another Group F victory will see them go through.
Paraguay put on a tenacious performance in their last game against Italy, but the match ended in a goalless draw.
Egypt boss Miroslav Soukup revealed during the pre-match press conference that he would make some changes to the team who outclassed Trinidad, but declined to reveal any names.
"Paraguay are our toughest opponent in this group. We watched DVDs of some of their games and are ready to face them," he told FilGoal.com's reporter on Sunday.
A day earlier, the Czech coach stressed on the importance of pulling off a victory in Monday's game to qualify for the next round.
"The game against Paraguay will be totally different to the one against Trinidad and Tobago, but we'll still be going all out for the three points," he said on FIFA's official site.
"We know this match is our chance to take a real step towards the next round, but we'll need to make more of the chances that come our way as well."
Confidence
On the other hand, Paraguay coach Adrian Coria is aiming to revive his team's chances after their stalemate with Italy.
"We watched Egypt in their opening match and got a good idea of how they play. It's a very important game, but it's one that we're going into with confidence," he stated.
"We intend to win it, and move closer to our target of making it through to the next round. We'll have to be more dangerous in front of goal though and put our chances away this time."
Italy will come on with the same frame of mind when they clash with Trinidad on the same day.
Azzurrini tactician Francesco Rocca assured that facing Paraguay was not an easy ride.
"Anyone who thinks that we didn't produce a good display in that game needs to realize who strong Paraguay are," Rocca stated.
In Group B, Spain will be out to sink Nigeria to go through, while the latter will be ousted should they lost.
Venezuela will also reach the round of 16 if they defeat Tahiti.
