Gaish boss Farouk Gaafar believes that his Zamalek counterpart Henri Michel's decision to introduce Mido in the final quarter of Thursday's league game was off beam. Zamalek legend Gaafar guided Gaish to a famous 1-0 victory over Michel's team, who suffered their second defeat this term. Michel brought on Mido immediately after Mikael Dodzi's winner for Gaish, but Gaafar indicated that the timing of the substitution helped his side. "The timing of Mido's substitution was wrong, it doesn't help a player like him to enter the game when the ball is so much in the air," he told Modern Sport TV. "Zamalek needed a player who can hold the ball in midfield at that time." Gaafar, who deployed a clever counter-attack strategy to down his former club, insists that the win is no fluke. "The goal we scored today was not by luck. We tried this counter attack move against Ahli (in the 4-2 defeat) last week, but it didn't work," he added.
