Brazilian duo Luis Fabiano and Renato combined twice to give Sevilla a 1-0 victory over Champions League debutants Unirea Urziceni in their Group G opener on Wednesday. In-form striker Fabiano gave the hosts the lead on the stroke of halftime when he met Renato's lay-off on the edge of the area with a low shot that found the bottom corner. Renato turned from provider to scorer midway through the second half. This time he was set up by his compatriot Fabiano. Fabiano's header from a corner was glanced in by Renato from close range. In the other group game, Rangers struck late in the game to draw 1-1 away to German side Stuttgart. Russian striker Pavel Pogrebnyak opened the scoring after 18 minutes but Algeria international Madjid Bougherra secured a share of spoils 13 minutes from time. Sevilla first goal Sevilla second goal
