Arsenal striker Eduardo was granted a reprieve, following his two-game UEFA Champions League suspension. The Croatian international was banned by the European football's governing body for diving in the penalty area to win an undeserved spot kick in the Gunners' 3-1 qualifying win at Celtic. Television replays left no doubts that goalie Artur Boruc didn't fell Eduardo, who was charged with 'deceiving the referee' afterwards. Arsenal appealed against the two-match ban, and eventually UEFA's Appeals Body have accepted their plea. "Following examination of all the evidence, notably the declarations of both the referee and the referees' assessor, as well as the various video footage, it was not established to the panel's satisfaction that the referee had been deceived in taking his decision on the penalty," A statement on Uefa's official site read. Now Eduardo can feature for the London side in Wednesday's Champions League tie at Standard Liege.
