Algeria defender Samir Zaoui admitted that the pressure from home supporters is immense, ahead of next month's World Cup qualifier with Egypt. Zaoui indicated that manager Rabeh Saadane's decision to hold out a pre-match camp in France was on spot, amid the fans' over-enthusiasm. "The idea of having a camp in France helped us avoid the pressure and relax before the game," the Olympique Chlef defender told Echoroukonline. "The pressure from our home fans is having a negative influence on us, to the extent that some players were afraid to leave their homes in Algeria." Coach Saadane emphasized the situation when he broke down in tears at press conference last week, pleading for the safety of his family ahead of the Egypt clash. Must-win Birmingham City forward Hameur Bouazza highlighted the importance of the North African derby as he believes that the Desert Foxes have a chance to go top. "It is a match that cannot be divided, we have to win in order to march our way towards the World Cup," he said. "Zambia upset Egypt in the first game and we have a chance to go top of the group if we win." Algeria played out a goalless draw with Group C outsiders Rwanda in March, whereas Egypt were held 1-1 at home by Zambia.
