Valencia scoring sensation David Villa shrugged off reports claiming that he could be offloaded next summer as a result of the Spanish club's financial deficit. It has been highly suggested the Spanish international would have to be sold by the end of the ongoing season, along with several other players in order for Valencia to overcome their economic downturn. Juventus and Barcelona are believed to be interested in Villa's services, but the latter assured that he's well-settled at Mestalla. "I will think and decide about things if it ever happened. Nobody has said to me that they want to sell me, nor that they are going to give me away or try and tie me down," he told AS. "It is all supposition and nobody knows for certain what will happen. I continue to think about playing and there is still plenty to do this year. "But I am not going to talk about things that could or could not happen." The 27-year-old striker has so far played an integral role with Valencia, helping them to stay in fourth place this season. For this reason, Valencia's stability is considered to be distinctly contingent upon Villa's presence. "It is obvious that I am the one scoring the most goals because I am the one playing furthest forward. But with a squad containing so much quality, it is difficult to say we rely on me or anyone else," he said.
