Ahli assured their fans on Thursday that they won't face any problems entering stadiums anymore. A group of Ahli supporters, who call themselves Ultras Ahlawy, caused uproar in Egyptian football when their troubles marred the Red Devils' league win over Ismaili last month. They were consequently prohibited from entering the stadium with flags, banners or any supportive tools during Ahli's 1-0 Cairo derby victory over arch-rivals Zamalek "The club's president Hassan Hamdi called Cairo police chief Ismail Al-Shaer and the matter has been resolved," Ahli said in a statement on their official website. "Al-Shaer insisted Ahli fans would face no problems entering Cairo Stadium to watch Friday's African Super Cup encounter against Sfaxien. "The fans will be allowed to enter stadiums with flags and banners but fireworks will be forbidden." Police's strict security measures during the past month prompted many die-hard fans to stay at home rather than watching games from stadiums.
