Zamalek and Masri have reportedly opened talks with Ghana striker Razak Pimpong over a possible move in the January transfer window. Pimpong, who plays for Norwegian Premier League team Viking FK, is trying to secure a move to the Egyptian Premier League as he seeks to play regular first-team football. "The talks in Egypt were very positive and I have returned to Norway to talk to my family about the move," the 26-year-old told Ghanasoccernet. Pimpong also claims that Danish side Arhus are interested in acquiring his services. "The interesting thing too is that Arhus have also contacted me and they want me to play for them." "I will make a final decision soon but I have to consider that my wife and son will be included in my final decision," he added. Pimpong was part of Ghana's squad that participated in the 2006 World Cup but his lack of playing time at Viking restricted his appearances with the Black Cats. If Pimpong moves to Zamalek, he will likely partner his compatriot Junior Agogo in the Cairo giants' frontline. Masri are looking to sign a new striker to support Mohamed Al-Gabbas, who scored six goals so far this season.
