Middlesbrough were condemned to a 3-0 loss by West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League on Saturday, while Mido and Mohamed Shawky couldn't make much of an impact. Chris Brunt opened the scoring only four minutes after kick-off, and Robert Koren bagged a brace on 54 and 67 minutes. As in their previous matches this season, Gareth Southgate's side clearly had serious rearguard problems, which cost them dearly. Midfielder Shawky was named in the stating eleven, while towering hitman Mido was introduced as a second half substitute on 57 minutes. But the Egyptian duo failed to prevent the home side from taking a stranglehold on the game. Now Boro are languishing in the relegation zone, lying 17th in the table. On the other hand, West Brom moved to the penultimate place upon grapping all three points. Middlesbrough are suffering an abysmal run, having slumped to 11 defeats in the Premiership this season.
