Ahmed Abou-Mosallam made his debut as Ajaccio ended a run of four consecutive defeats to beat Reims 2-1 at home in the French Ligue 2 on Friday. An own goal by Reims defender Williams Martinez gave the hosts the lead on the stroke of halftime. French midfielder Ludovic Asuar doubled the advantage in the 59th minute. Alexandre Barbier pulled one back in the 71st minute but Ajaccio held onto their lead to claim a precious victory. Ajaccio moved up to the 13th place in the league table with 23 points. Egyptian left-back Abou-Mosallam, who joined Ajaccio on a six-month loan from Strasbourg, played the full match. It was his first competitive action this season as the former Ahli man did not play any match with Strasbourg.
