Genclerbirligi defender Abdul-Zaher Al-Saqqa said he is close to joining Eskisehirspor when the transfer window opens in January. "I told Gencler president that I will leave the club in January," the Egyptian defender told FilGoal.com on Sunday. "I can't remain at Gencler as long as coach Samet Aybaba is in charge." Aybaba left Al-Saqqa out of Gencler squad for several matches for no apparent reason. The former Egyptian international accused Aybaba of making racist remarks against him. "Are the fans jeering me because of this 'Arab'? Is he more important than me," the 53-year-old coach was quoted as saying. Aybaba later on said he did not mean to single out Arabs but his relationship with Al-Saqqa deteriorated. Al-Saqqa is considering several offers but looks close to seal a move to Eskisehirspor. "I have offers from Gaziantepspor, Konyaspor and Eskisehirspor but the latter option looks more likely." "Gaziantep is technically better than Eskisehirspor. However, I might choose to join Eskisehirspor because their city is close to Ankara, where I'm staying. "Konyaspor will be the last option for me because they are not stable in terms of finance and football." Gaziantep lie eighth in the Turkish Super Lig table while Eskisehirspor are 11th, one spot ahead of Konyaspor.
