Yokohama– Mohamed Sabe Ahli midfielder Ahmed Fathi said that he has a good chance of playing against Adelaide United on Thursday in the team's last FIFA Club World Cup game. The former Sheffield United man had to be taken off during Ahli's first round loss against Pachuca, after picking up a groin muscle injury. However, he is still confident that he can take part in Thursday's clash. "The injury is getting better. I will have a fitness test on Tuesday to determine if I will be in shape to play against Adelaide," Fathi told FilGoal.com in Yokohama. The 24-year-old trained separately from the rest of the squad during Monday's session. From his side, Ahli physiotherapist Ehab Ali echoed Fathi's comments, confirming that the player has a good chance of making the Adelaide game. "Fathi is suffering a groin muscle injury and a light knee bruise, but most probably he'll be able to catch the game," said Ali. Ahli will be facing Adelaide for the World Cup's fifth/sixth place, after the Australian side lost to Gamba Osaka 1-0.
