Tokyo - Mohamed Sabe Ahli captain Shadi Mohamed defended the strategies of coach Manuel Jose after the African Champions slumped to a 4-2 defeat against Pachuca in the Club World Cup on Saturday. Jose's side went to the locker room enjoying a two-goal lead but they collapsed after the break as the CONCACAF champions took charge. An angry Egyptian journalist blamed Jose in the post-match press conference for "not being there during the game." Jose didn't reply because he didn't get a proper translation from Arabic. But Shadi stood up for his coach. "It wasn't Jose's fault," said Shadi, who was dropped form Ahli's last league game before heading to Japan. "The players, not the coach, have to take blame for this defeat," added the international defender. "We couldn't handle the pressure starting from the second period and gave them the opportunity to take control of the game."
