Bayern Munich produced a convincing display to overcome Fiorentina in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday. The Bavarians produced a solid home performance to beat their hosts 3-0 courtesy of goals from Bastian Schweinsteiger, Miroslav Klose and Ze Roberto goals. Jurgen Klinsmann's men took the lead as early as the fourth minute after Klose was released by a Luca Toni pass. The German international did well to shrug off the Fiorentina defense tackle to slot home past Sebastian Frei. The visitors' first effort of the game was on 20 minutes after Zdravko Kuzmanovic's shot from outside the box went high. Bayern doubled their advantage on 25th minutes. Franck Ribery's pass found Schweinsteiger on the right flank, and the winger cut inside and fired his shot into the top corner. Fiorentina had the chance to get back in the game right before half time but unlucky Alberto Gilardino saw his effort hit the bar. Bayern were forced to replace Philippe Lahm with Christian Lell during half time after the former was injured. With the game heading towards Bayern, Klinsmann preferred to rest Toni and Schweinsteiger and brought on Lukas Podolski and Tim Borowski. In the 90th minute, Ze Roberto crowned Bayern's performance with a brilliant left footed effort from outside the box. In the same group, Olympique Lyonnais came back from two goals down to beat Steaua 5-3 in Bucharest. The hosts scored twice in the first 15 minutes through Arturo and Nicolai Goian. Lyon equalized through Abdulkader Keita (23) and Karim Benzema (33) before Ovidiu Petre scored Steaua's third on 45 minutes. In the second half, Benzema completed a super hat trick to hand Lyon a valuable win. While Lyon move to second with five points, Bayern remain top of group F with seven points after three games.
