A last-gasp header by Ahmed Fathi earned Egypt's U-20 team an invaluable 1-0 away victory over Zambia that lifted the young Pharaohs to the 2009 Nations Cup. The game looked as though it was heading for a goalless draw that would have given Zambia a berth in January's competition at the expense of Egypt. But deep into stoppage time, Fathi towered to head home a long-range free-kick to help Egypt atone for their disappointing 3-3 home draw with Zambia last month. Miroslav Soukup's men will now take part in the Nations Cup that will be held in Eritrea. They will see it as an ideal preparation for the 2009 World Cup on home soil.
