Harras Al-Hodoud will be looking to climb into top spot in Group A when they host Tunisia's Sfaxien in the Confederation Cup on Friday. Sfaxien occupy the summit with four points from two games, just one ahead of Al-Hodoud. Despite having little experience in continental football, the Alexandria-based club seek to snatch top spot. "The players just need to have more self-confidence," Al-Hodoud coach Tarek Al-Ashri told Egyptian daily Al-Ahram. "That confidence will help them break the experience barrier against the highly-respected Sfaxien." Winners of Group A and Group B advance to meet in the final as second-placed teams exit the competition. Determination Al-Ashri hopes Al-Hodoud will have the same fighting spirit they used in defeating Club Africain 2-1 at home in the group stage opener. Al-Hodoud were trailing 1-0 at halftime but two second-half goals from Mohamed Fawzi and Ahmed Abdul-Ghani gave them a precious victory. "The players were determined to get off their group stage campaign to a winning start. I hope they have a similar attitude against Sfaxien." Al-Ashri will have a fully-fit squad to choose from against Confederation Cup holders Sfaxien. Egyptian international Ahmed Eid will shoulder the responsibility of feeding striking duo Ahmed Abdul-Ghani and Abdul-Hamid Bassiouni. Eid was part of Egypt's squad that beat DR Congo 1-0 in Kinshasa in a World Cup qualifier.
