Zamalek coach Reiner Hollmann believes that his side still have a strong chance to reach the CAF Champions League semis. The Cairo giants' hopes of booking a last-four berth were heavily dented after they failed to beat ASEC Mimosas in two successive games. The Ivorians held Zamalek to a goalless draw in Cairo before crushing them 3-0 in Abidjan. Zamalek slipped to third in Group A on four points, one behind second-placed ASEC and six adrift of runaway leaders Ahli with two matches to go. "Our chances to advance to the semis are as equal as those of our group competitors," Hollmann was quoted as saying by the club's official website. The White Knights have to overcome arch-rivals Ahli on Sunday if they are to stand a chance of going through. German tactician Hollmann called on Zamalek fans to support their team in the anticipated clash against Ahli. "I demand the fans to stand by the team in the coming period, especially against Ahli on Sunday." "Their role is very important. We defeated Dynamos Harare 1-0 in Cairo when they flooded the Military Academy stadium."
