Manchester United defender Mikael Silvestre has inked a two-year deal for rivals Arsenal on Wednesday for an undisclosed fee. The Gunners website unveiled the 31-year old defender who spent the last nine years at Old Trafford. “I've spent a large part of my career at United, the last nine years, and I'll remember that time fondly but feel I'm ready for a new challenge," said Silvestre. The former France defender missed most of the past season as he has been struggling with injuries. AS Roma and Bordeaux have shown their interested in signing him but Frenchman Arsene Wenger secured his arrival at the Emirates.
