Pentathlon: Geziri breaks Olympic record in swimming

Amr Al-Geziri broke the men's swimming 200m (Pentathlon) Olympic record in 1:55:86m to preserve his chances for a place on the podium in the Beijing2008 Olympics.
The Egyptian athlete beat the old record by three seconds.
This win gives him 1412 points but he will still have to do a lot of effort in order to get any silverware.
Al-Geziri ended 29th in shooting, 1024pts, and 24th in the men's fencing, 760pts.
He still has to play the men's running 3000m and the Riding Show Jumping.
