Emad Meteb is poised to leave Ahli for England before the transfer window deadline, according to English agent Jesse Learoyd-Hill. Learoyd-Hill, who is a familiar dealer with Ahli, revealed that the latter are willing to sell Meteb, following his infamous Bristol City move collapse. The agent who helped former Ahli man Ibrahim Saied join Everton in 2003, declared that 'a number' of clubs in England are interested in Meteb, who is also keen to seal a move abroad. "Ahli were disappointed at what happened with the transfer of Meteb to Bristol City as they felt the involvement of a number of agents clouded the matter," Learoyd-Hill told skysports.com. "They are willing to sell Meteb for the right price and they have given me the mandate to do any deal. "I have had a long-standing relationship with Ahli and they do not want any other parties getting involved in any transfer. "I have worked with Ahli before in the past and I brought the first Egyptian to the Premier League when I took Ibrahim Said to Everton in 2003. "News of Meteb's availability has alerted a number of clubs in England with teams in the Premier League and Championship interested in his services. "Meteb is determined to try his luck in England and a work permit would not be an issue as he was granted one at Bristol City before the move fell through. "We will now wait and see what offers come in from around Europe before the transfer window closes in two weeks." Meteb agreed a three-year deal with Bristol City in July, but the 25-year-old striker's participation in Ahli's season opener against Zamalek hampered the completion of the transfer.
