Fiorentina have received an official bid from Serie A rivals Roma to sign striker Adrian Mutu, the Viola sporting director Pantaleo Corvino has confirmed. Even though the Romania striker is a key member of Cesare Prandelli's roster, Fiorentina are inclined to accept the offer. "I am not one who gambles, I like to play with my cards on the table. In the last few hours I have received an official offer from Roma,” said Corvino. "Taking this into consideration, it is my job and that of Fiorentina to meet with the club making the inquiries. "Fiorentina's policy is to keep its players, but when it comes to someone close to the age of 30, if they ask to leave then it is our duty to listen to eventual offers. "It seems right and logical to consider the offer and, if it is valid, to talk it over. It is legitimate for a player to ask to leave and think about other alternatives. It's possible Mutu wants something other than Fiorentina." Roma, who sold influential forward Amantino Mancini to Serie A champions Inter Milan, have reportedly tabled a bid in the range of £15.M for the Fiorentina skipper. ● Click here to follow-up with the latest world transfers
