Zamalek manager Reiner Hollmann lamented his side's 'dreadful errors' following the 2-1 defeat to arch-rivals Ahli in the Champions League group stage opener. "We played a very good match but the dreadful defensive errors cost us," Hollmann told the post-match press conference. Gilberto capitalized on a Mohamed Abdullah blunder to set-up the opener for his compatriot Flavio Amado. Gamal Hamza drew Zamalek level in the second period but Ahli's newly-signed midfielder Ahmed Hassan sealed the win shortly after. "Ahli were better than us in the first-half, but we dominated the entire second period and managed to equalize." "But unfortunately, another defensive mistake allowed Ahli to restore their advantage." The German tactician promised Zamalek fans that the team's display will be much better in Sunday's Egyptian Super Cup against the same opponent. "We will have different preparations for our next game against Ahli," he revealed.
