Zamalek's out-of-favor left back Osama Hassan will be registered in the team's Champions League squad, according to assistant coach Tarek Yehia. The Egyptian Cup winners were undecided whether to include Hassan in their African roster despite shortage of options in the left-back position. Veteran player Tarek Al-Sayed, who has been Zamalek's regular left back during the past few years, was released last month. So was his replacement, Jordanian Khaled Saad. Brazilian full back Ricardo has recently undergone a trial with Zamalek but the club preferred to go for Hassan option. "Hassan will be in our Champions League squad instead of Ricardo," Yehia told FilGoal.com on Tuesday. Zamalek still have a vacant place to be filled prior to the Champions League group stage opener against arch-rivals Ahli on Sunday. Sweeper Hani Saied, who has resolved his transfer dispute with Zamalek, is expected to be included in the African squad. New arrivals Ayman Abdul-Aziz and Junior Agogo have also joined the roster.
