Juventus have beaten rivals Torino to signing Croatia defender Dario Knezevic from Livorno. Juve's official site confirmed the signing of the 26-year-old, who snubbed the Old Lady's vicious city rivals Torino. However, Torino chairman Urbano Cairo claimed that the player has already signed a contract with his club. "I don't think you can sell a player twice, it's a question of good faith. The world of football must have rules," he told Gazzetta dello Sport. Juve sporting director Alessio Secco responded negatively to Cairo's claims, as he ensured the validity of the move. "The player has not signed any other contract apart from ours. That's why we are absolutely untroubled and we'll deposit the written agreement tomorrow," he said. Knezevic was part of Croatia's EURO 2008 squad, but pulled out of the tournament before the quarter-finals due to a knee injury.
