Spain's hat-trick hero David Villa dedicated his third goal against Russia 4-1 to his striking partner Fernando Torres. "I want to dedicate my third goal to him because my first two were in a large percentage down to him," the Valencia marksman said after the game. "The first, you all saw that, and the second it was him who opened up space for Iniesta to pass through." Torres has been under fire recently and there have been voices asking coach Luis Aragones to axe him as he failed to score in the pre-tournament games. However the Liverpool striker was among the starting lineup and was impressive until being substituted in the second half by Cesc Frabregas who scored the fourth goal. "Much was said before the game about Torres, and whether or not he's suitable for this squad, but we see how misplaced that is now," concluded Villa.
