Ahli seek compensation for Al-Hadari departure

Ahli have filed an official request to world governing body FIFA seeking two million euros as compensation for Essam Al-Hadari's departure to Sion.
"The club were dearly affected by the keeper's illegitimate move to Swiss side Sion," Ahli said in a statement on their official website on Tuesday.
"Ahli want to receive two millions euros as compensation. The club also want the fugitive guardian to be banned.
"The club believe the decision of the FIFA single judge to give Al-Hadari the all-clear to play for Sion is totally unfounded."
Egypt goalie Al-Hadari infuriated the Red Devils when he joined Sion without the club's consent.
He believed that he invoked article 17 of FIFA regulations to fulfill his wish of playing in Europe.
Eventually, Al-Hadari was given permission to provisionally play for Sion.
