Egypt manager Hassan Shehata has hailed his players' character following the 2-1 win over DR Congo in the World Cup qualifiers. "I felt the pressure because we created a lot of chances in the first-half but we couldn't score," Shehata said. "It could only become worse after their goal," he told ART Sports. "The players showed great character and discipline to win the game." The Pharaohs came from behind to win the game with second-half goals from Amr Zaki and Ahmed Eid Abdul-Malek. Egypt will play Djibouti, who were thrashed 8-1 by Malawi, on Friday. "It's only our first game and the team will improve in the next encounters," Shehata said.
