Middlesbrough manager Gareth Southgate said on Friday he is satisfied with his side's strikers, ruling out any moves for more front men in the summer. Premiership reports said that Southgate might move for Newcastle's international striker Alan Smith but the Boro boss denied the rumors. "Strikers are not a priority for us," said Southgate. "That might change at some point, but I wouldn't foresee it. I am quite happy with the blend we have got." The former England defender believes that Brazilian forward Afonso Alves, Frenchman Jeremie Aliadiere, on-fire Turkish striker Tuncay Sanli as well as Mido are enough. Sanli scored seven goals in the finishing season, while Aliadiere and Afonso combined to net as many. Mido scored only twice as he missed the majority of the campaign through groin and pelvic injuries. "Mido has got a challenge ahead of him now," said Southgate.
