Feyenoord goalkeeper Sherif Ekrami hopes to get more involved in first team matches, following his season debut against Willem II on Sunday. The 25-year-old was given the opportunity to deputize for injured number one Henk Timmer, but conceded three first-half goals in the 3-1 defeat. "I think I will be in better shape if I played more games, I hope to get a chance in the remaining games of the season," he told FilGoal.com. "I was unlucky in the first goal because I was fouled, but the referee allowed the goal. "I had a much better second-half though, I think I made a couple of good saves." Should Timmer remains injured, Ekrami could be facing competition from Erwin Mulder ahead of next week's game with Roda JC. Feyenoord are sixth in the Eredivisie standings with 57 points, as they are pushing for a Champions League spot.
