No room for Raul in Euro 2008

Spain coach Luis Aragones named a 31-man preliminary squad for the Euro 2008 and didn't include Real Madrid Captain Raul Gonzales.
Aragones, who will turn 70 in July, had to name his squad now as UEFA will call the players to be vaccinated before the competition.
The 30-year old striker has been in an impressive form for the Merengues this season scoring 16 goals in 31 league appearances.
Raul hasn't featured for Spain since September 2006 but there has been pressure on the coach to call him back after rediscovering his goal scoring form.
But Aragones maintained his position and closed the door on him. The Spaniard will announce his final squad in May.
