At Olimpico, Hernan Crespo's 11th minute opener was cancelled out by Tommaso Rocchi on the hour mark. The Nerazzurri failed to win in their third game running, but they were fortunate as Roma took no advantage against Cagliari. Francesco Totti's equalizer secured a point for the Giallorossi, after Matteo Ferrari put the home side in front with a 3rd minute own goal. Inter, who have 69 points, remained top with a four point gap over Roma, seven weeks before the end of the competition.
