Ahmed Hossam 'Mido' is desperate to help Middlesbrough reach the FA Cup semis at Wembley ahead of Sunday's quarter-final tie with Championship side Cardiff City. "We are dreaming about it and we deserve to. Some people think that we have had it easy, but it's been difficult for us as the pressure is always on you," he told Middlesbrough's official site. "I know how big the FA Cup is and the lads here realize how big it is, but we are taking it game by game." Mido, who has recently recovered from a nagging pubic injury, was largely involved in Boro's winning goal against Sheffield United in the fourth round. Boro are facing a second division side for the second successive time, but the Egypt striker is aware that their opponents have former Premiership aces Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink and Robbie Fowler.
Shawky doubtful "Playing a lower division side is always going to put pressure on us and we need to respect their quality players, the ones who can finish games," he said. "It's only 90 minutes but we know that the Cardiff game will be tough and very important for the fans and the club." Shawky Doubtful Boro's other Egyptian Mohamed Shawky is a major doubt for Sunday's game despite featuring for the reserves in midweek. The defensive midfielder has been struggling with a hamstring problem since last month's African Cup of Nations in Ghana.
