Ismaili have denied rumors suggesting that the club received offers for Hosni Abd-Rabou after the midfielder's superb performance in the African Cup of Nations. Abd-Rabou, 24, was instrumental in Egypt's second successive triumph as he clinched the Player of the Tournament award. Consequently, some reports claimed that the Ismaili star has caught the eyes of several scouts from top European clubs. "We received no offers for Abd-Rabou until this moment," Ismaili interim chairman Ibrahim Ashour told Filgoal.com. "In case we got any offers, I think we will not be able to respond before FIFA give a decision regarding the player's future." FIFA will rule by the end of February in Abd-Rabou's infamous case, which involves a rift between Ismaili and French side Strasbourg over the right to own the player.
