Ivory Coast favorites to beat weakened Guinea
Published in FilGoal on 03 - 02 - 2008

Ivory Coast will be favorites to book a semi-finals place at the expense of Guinea, who have more than a concern when both teams clash in Sekondi.
The Elephants have proved to be the deadliest of all teams after an impressive group stage campaign, which saw them tipped by many to clinch the title.
On the other hand, the Syli Nationale are hit by the suspension of influential captain Pascal Feindouno, who picked up the competition's only red card so far against Morocco.
Coach Robert Nouzaret admitted that the absence of his star man will force him change the team tactic against Ivory Coast.

"It's another tournament we're starting now, we must be careful, football is very strange, I hope we'll keep playing as simply as we have been and give our best on the pitch," said Didier Drogba.
Team News: Influential defender Kolo Toure was back in training, but he is doubtful to start, following a groin injury he picked up in the 4-1 win over Benin.
Aruna Dindane, Arthur Boka, Abdoulaye Meite and Salomon Kalou are set to retain their places after being rested against Mali.

No Feindouno for Guinea
Probable Line-up: Barry- Eboue, Boka, Meite, Zoro- Zokora, Y.Toure, Kalou, Keita- Drogba, Dindane.

"My players know there is no room for mistakes against such a team. I think they will be all the more focused," said manager Nouzaret.
"Feindouno is a very important player but I'll have to find a different tactic without him."
Team News: Guinea will be without suspended captain Feindouno, who almost represents more than half of their striking force.
Furthermore, center-half and vice-skipper Bobo Balde is a major doubt with a thigh injury.
Probable Line-up: K.Camara- I.Camara, Jabi, Kalabane, A.Camara- Sylla, Sacko, Bah, Mansare- I.Bangoura, Youla.
