For the first time since being excluded from Spain's squad, Real Madrid captain Raul Gonzales met coach Luis Aragones face to face during the Christmas celebrations. "I am very confident I would be with Spain in the Euro 2008," Raul told his coach, according to Spanish daily Marca. But his coach answered sarcastically "It seems you know things better than me. I am very glad with your performance and confidence but let's wait and see." Raul has been out of international duty since the World Cup 2006 and despite being in a superb form this season he failed to break through again. Raul is the longest serving Spanish player as he played 102 matches since 1996 and scored 44 goals, becoming the highest scorer in the country's history.
