Lawrie Sanchez has become the seventh Premiership manager to lose his job this season after Fulham announced his sacking on Friday. Sanchez, who has been in charge for just eight months as successor to the sacked Chris Coleman, was given the axe after the Cottagers slipped to 18th place last week. "Fulham Football Club announce its decision to replace Lawrie Sanchez as Manager of Fulham Football Club with immediate effect," a statement on the club's official site read. "Ray Lewington and Billy McKinlay will be in charge of the team whilst a search for a permanent replacement takes place." Former Scotland and Fulham midfielder John Collins was reportedly considered among the favorites to take charge at Craven Cottage.
