Published in FilGoal on 12 - 12 - 2007

Fenerbahce survived CSKA Moscow scare to beat the Russian side 3-1 and secure a spot in the last 16 phase of the UEFA Champions League.
An own goal from Brazilian defender Edu was swiftly cancelled out by compatriot Alex, before Ugur Boral scored twice to ensure a deserved victory for the Turks.
The visitors took a surprise lead on the half-hour mark when Edu shocked Volkan Demirel with a sliding finish into the net, leaving his own keeper in disbelief.
However, Brazil midfielder Alex made amends for his compatriot's error, when he scored a clear candidate for the goal of the tournament one minute later.
The talented midfielder controlled the ball with his chest, before unleashing a superb 25-yard belter into the top corner of Igor Akinfeev's net.
At the stroke of half-time, Alex turned provider when he fed Boral with a slick through pass, and the latter hit the net from a tight angle for the vital second.

Cruz hit the winner for Inter
Boral repeated the scenario in the second half's dying moments as he notched in his second of the night to complete the victory with an injury time header.
Fenerbahce finish second of Group G with 11 points, four less than leaders Inter Milan, who also won at PSV Eindhoven.
Inter Defeat Ten-man PSV
Julio Cruz scored the only goal at Philips Stadion to give Inter Milan a 1-0 victory over PSV Eindhoven.
The Argentine striker hit an empty in the 63rd minute after excellent work from David Suazo on the assist.
The home side played with a man down for more than an hour as Ecuador midfielder Edison Mendez saw straight red in the 28th minute after he shoved the clear-on-goal Suazo.
Inter, who have already secured top spot before the game, finish with 15 points, while PSV have seven points in third place, but the Dutch side salvaged a UEFA Cup spot.
