Sir Alex Ferguson has criticized refereeing for the second week in a row, despite Manchester United's 2-0 win over Fulham on Monday. The Red Devils were inspired by a brace from Cristiano Ronaldo, but Ferguson was furious with Rob Styles' decision to book the Portuguese wizard for diving. Ronaldo was brought down by Fulham keeper Antti Niemi when the score was already 2-0, but Fergie believes that the 22-year-old's reputation played a vital role. "Why would he want to go down? He was on a hat-trick," Ferguson fumed. "His reputation from years ago is still playing on the minds of referees. It was a ridiculous decision. "It is quite unfair because he is nothing like that now." The Scotsman blasted referee Mark Clattenburg last week, after the latter sent the United boss off during the 1-0 defeat at Bolton. Frustrating Ronaldo has been frequently accused of playacting in recent years, but he was quick to defend himself after the Fulham game. "I try to do my job and I try to play honestly, I respect the referee's decision but I do not have the same opinion because I thought it was a penalty," he said. "If you see the replay, the goalkeeper never touched the ball, so it is frustrating the referee gave me a yellow card."
