Sevilla striker Frederic Kanoute is ruled out of action for two weeks with a Calf strain, sustained during the 3-2 defeat to Villarreal at the weekend, the Andalucian club said on Tuesday. The 30-year-old was taken off at half-time after he had scored his team's first goal in the Primera Liga encounter. The Mali ace will miss his nation's friendlies against Senegal and Algeria in preparation for the upcoming African Cup of Nations in Ghana. Kanoute will be also doubtful for the Sevillistas UEFA Champions League clash with Arsenal on November 27th, in a game which could see the Spanish side secure a last 16 berth.
