Olympique Lyon have expressed interest in Chelsea hitman Didier Drogba, who recently hinted that he is likely to leave Stamford Bridge next season. The Ivory Coast skipper revealed his willingness to leave the Blues last week, following the departure of former coach Jose Mourinho. Consequently, French champions Lyon popped up in an attempt to win the signing of the former Marseille ace. "Everything is possible in football, Didier Drogba is an exceptional footballer who loves France," Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas told Aujourd'hui en France. "We had an asset to mhake him come here, Florent Malouda, who was playing for us. "Unfortunately he has left for Chelsea. If we had to sign both of them, it is maybe beyond our means."
