Ibrahim Saied has revealed on Friday that Ahli are interested in acquiring his services after his relationship with Turkish club Ankaragucu reached a dead end. The 27-year-old has fallen out of favor with Ankaragucu coach Hans-Peter Briegel since joining on a one-year loan deal from Rizespor in the close season. "An Ahli board member called me two days ago and told me (coach) Manuel Jose wants to sign me,"Saied told FilGoal.com. "I'm willing to join Ahli without putting any conditions. This is the club where I made my reputation." Saied, who played for Ahli between 2000 and 2004 before joining their arch-rivals Zamalek, will arrive in Cairo on Friday night to hold talks with the Egyptian champions' officials. "If things go well, I hope to sign the new deal next week. I'm ready to pen a long-term contract and finish my career with Ahli."
Saied said he reached a compromise with Ankaragucu and Rizespor regarding their financial requirements to allow him move on. "I reached an agreement with the Turkish clubs that will see them earn total of $350,000, instead of their initial demand to be given 650,000. "I also gave up my financial rights in order to seal my dream move to Ahli," he added. The controversial but talented defender is considering another option if his move to the Red Devils fail. "If I don't join Ahli I'll wait for the January transfer window then move to Istanbul Belediyespor, who have made a bid to sign me," he concluded.
