Mido's father Hossam Wasfi insisted on Friday that his son's financial demands were not an obstacle to completing the Egyptian striker's move to Birmingham City. "The problem is that Birmingham officials want to decrease Tottenham Hotspur's asking price," Wasfi told FilGoal.com. "Mido met Birmingham officials and his wage demands were accepted by the club, unlike what the recent reports said." Although Birmingham have agreed a £6million fee with Tottenham, Mido's negotiations with the Blues have reportedly stalled due to the 24-year-old's relatively high wage demands. "The ball is now in Birmingham's court. Mido is currently training with Tottenham until the situation becomes clear," Wasfi added. Mido is highly unlikely to stay with Spurs next season given the abundance of striking options at Martin Jol's disposal. The arrival of Darren Bent in addition to the superb form of duo Dimitar Berbatov and Robbie Keane would make it very difficult for the former Ajax and Marseille man to break through.
