Ismailia governor Abdul-Gelil Al-Fakharani has urged Ismaili fans and businessmen on Wednesday to provide financial support to the club. The Dervishes are suffering from a deep financial crisis which could lead to the departure of several players. Hosni Abd-Rabou's future is still unclear as he signed a four-year contract with Ahli after Ismaili failed to pay Strasbourg the due 500,000 euros to turn the midfielder's loan deal into permanent one. Trio Sayed Moawad, Mohamed Fadl and Mohamed Hommos have threatened to leave the club if they don't receive their dues before the start of the season. "The club's bank account is open for any donations. We are hoping the Ismailia residents and businessman will take part in this campaign," Al-Fakharani told FilGoal.com.
Yehia Al-Koumi "The money we will receive will be used in solving Ismaili's financial disputes." Meanwhile, Ismaili president Yehia Al-Koumi said his side are willing to participate in the Egyptian Super Cup instead of Zamalek, who withdrew from the competition. Zamalek, who finished runners-up in the Egyptian League last season, were due to face arch-rivals Ahli who clinched the double. However, the men in white opted against taking part in order not to hamper their pre-season preparations. It was initially thought that third-placed Ismaili won't be able to play the Super Cup due to African commitments, but Al-Koumi said French coach Patrice Neveu does not mind playing the match.
