Al-Gaish are likely to be the team facing Egyptian double champions Ahli in the Egyptian Super Cup next month. An Egyptian Football Association (EFA) member informed FilGoal.com that the FA will be forced to recall Al-Gaish, who finished fourth in the league last season, to face Ahli. Ahli clinched the league and cup double last season, but Zamalek, who finished runners-up in both competitions, withdrew from the Super Cup clash. Moreover, the league's third-placed team Ismaili will be in Nigeria to face Kwara United in the African Confederation Cup at the same timing of the Super Cup clash scheduled for August 9th. Consequently, Al-Gaish will be entering the Super Cup contest in an attempt to win their first ever trophy. Meanwhile, the EFA are unlikely to impose a fine on Zamalek for pulling out of the game, as the team were just runners-up last season.
