Angolan winger Sebastiao Gilberto confirmed that he has fully recovered from his long-term injury and that he is ready to play in Ahli's CAF Champions League clash against ASEC Mimosas of Ivory Coast on July 8th. Gilberto has rarely played since January 2006 as he was suffering from a serious Achilles injury. However, the Angolan says that he is back to full fitness and that his appearance is subject to registration in Ahli's African squad list. "I am ready to face ASEC, and I hope that my registration process is finished soon," Gilberto told FilGoal.com. On the other hand, midfielder Hassan Mostafa, who was axed from Ahli's Egyptian cup final squad to face Zamalek on Monday, has been recalled to replace Hossam Ashour. Ashour collided with a Zamalek player and was taken off in the second half of the game which ended in a thrilling 4-3 victory for the Red Devils. Ahli flied to Abidjan immediately after the cup triumph, as the African giants hope to preserve their Group A supremacy when they face ASEC.
