The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) reversed their decision to hold the Cairo derby between Ahli and Zamalek at 17:00 local time, delaying the clash for three and half hours. "The match has been rescheduled to kick-off at 20:30," EFA spokesman Medhat Shalabi told FilGoal.com on Friday. "We have taken the decision for the sake of the Egyptian fans, who are definitely eager to watch the game." Shalabi has also stated that Ittihad's game against Ismaili will be played at the same time due to the latter's competition with Zamalek on the league's second spot, which earns qualification to the CAF Champions League. The EFA has initially decided that all the Egyptian League matches will be played at 17:00 on Monday in order for the teams to have equal chances, although the Cairo derby is traditionally played at night in order for all people to watch the game after finishing their work.
