Amr Zaki claimed that Zamalek are doing their best to block him from moving to the English Premiership after coach Henri Michel ignored him in the team's training session on Wednesday. "They are conspiring against me in order not to play with Zamalek and not earn a call-up to the Egyptian national team as a consequence," Zaki told FilGoal.com on Thursday. "This means that I will not be able to fulfill the amount of international matches needed to earn a work permit in the Premiership." The 24-year-old striker stated more than once that he has an English offer but the Cairo giants insisted they are yet to receive any official bid.
Michel Zaki hit out at Zamalek's French boss Michel, whom he believes is a part of the plan to ruin his career. "I participated in the training with my teammates on Wednesday morning until Michel decided the divide the players into two groups where I was the only one to be ruled out," he added. The former ENPPI striker was involved in a dispute with the club after missing several training sessions but he insisted that Zamalek's technical staff is taking a stiff approach towards him while turning a blind eye to bad behaviors from others. "I apologized for skipping training but wasn't included in the team's squad while other players, who made the same action, participated although they did not offer an apology." Zaki revealed that Zamalek chairman Mamdouh Abbas promised him that the board will agree to let him depart but made a U-turn in a recent press conference, where he confirmed that no stars will be allowed to leave.
